It was a fabulous festival well worth the Journey I would reccomend it Dave, and thanks to MGAS for a great Cat session, & to Kitty and Derek for a great sing around on saturday night in spite of the cold

Now it seems to me that this should be something I should be going to.

A lot of people I know were there and it seems like a good time was had by all.

Perhaps next year!!

Thanks for the list, MGAS - it was Gazza2 who came up with "All along the South Coast".

I didn't see Bubblyrat at all - or Lady Policeman, so sorry to have missed you.

Clockmaker isn't a member because he isn't connected to the internet, which reminds me that I should have thanked Tony Kemp, who isn't officially a Catter, as well as Wuzzle!

KB's cold made him one of the most miserable people I know at the moment! - and not good company to drag to a folk festival, I am not up to driving yet so we ended up being miserable together at home, almost within earshot! Hope to catch up with you all at Miskin, glad you had an enjoyable mudgather.
Cheers, lucy

Lovely weekend, despite it turning cold & windy!!

Many thanks to all who came along to make the Gather such a success, to all who sang, to my Lovely Right-hand Raffler Selchie, to all who brought prizes and all who bought tickets. We raised £30 in the raffle which I've given to John 'TipToe' Lee towards Festival funds to assist them with their 'shoestring' budget.

Apologies for forgetting to bring the MadCat, but was delighted to use the lovely cushion from Catter Helen of Australia as a worthy substitute!

Attendees from the Register:
MalcBudduth
Marje
Jock O'Dreams
Dame Patti Smith EPNS
Splott Man
Selchie (RS)
Frogette
Frog

A fair few Non-Catters were also there including Jock & Briony and also a couple of lads who make up 2 thirds of 'Cock-a-Hoop' who need to be kept an eye on in future - watch out, they'll be at Miskin!!

Thanks, MGAS, for organising it! It was a really good session. Short, good and in the warm.......

I hope people enjoyed the singarounds in the Ring O'Bells barn too though - some Catters stayed for hours at our session on Saturday despite the attraction of other, warmer venues, and kept it going until midnight. Thanks especially Merek'n'Dary, Wuzzle and the couple who contributed Jeremy Taylor's "All along the South Coast" and John Conolly's "Three Balls", but whose Mudcat names I didn't catch at the Gather.

Concerns about two folk events and Rugby in the same Pub.
OK hands up I saw the Rugby but, hearing the Gather it was the best quality singaround of the weekend! Short Good and worked.

I should be travelling back from TUC in Scarborough either on the Friday or Saturday. Depending on when I get back depends on whether I can get there... and, of course, if I am allowed to sing by then. If not I can always provide a cardboard cut out that you can throw darts at!!

Seems Herbaceous Border will be dancing straight after the morris displays end - probably about 3 o'clock - on both Saturday and Sunday. So, hopefully I will get to the Mudgather, but shan't make it to your spot, Kitty. Hope it goes well.

Choosing St Patrick's Day for the date is a double-edged sword as there will be many other events on which may prevent some people going along (I have a gig for a start). But I hope it goes well, you have a great line-up by bthe sound of it.
