And I just heard some over-the-top Bach from Swiss musicians.

So it wasn't Liechtenstein with the plan. It's the Swiss.

   And being bankers,I bet they've paid a year's rent on a battlefield already. [Thanks,Groucho.]

"Liechtenstein doesn't have an army"!!!!!!!!!!!?????????????????

Boy, now I have heard it all. What a bald-faced lie! Those Liechtensteiners are ALL in the army, and they're armed to the teeth. Be prepared for the worst.

It's begun:

ZURICH, Switzerland (AP) -- What began as a routine training exercise almost ended in an embarrassing diplomatic incident after a company of Swiss soldiers got lost at night and marched into neighboring Liechtenstein.

According to Swiss daily Blick, the 170 infantry soldiers wandered just over a mile across an unmarked border into the tiny principality early Thursday before realizing their mistake and turning back.

A spokesman for the Swiss army confirmed the story but said that there were unlikely to be any serious repercussions for the mistaken invasion.

"We've spoken to the authorities in Liechtenstein and it's not a problem," Daniel Reist told The Associated Press.

Officials in Liechtenstein also played down the incident.

Interior ministry spokesman Markus Amman said nobody in Liechtenstein had even noticed the soldiers, who were carrying assault rifles but no ammunition. "It's not like they stormed over here with attack helicopters or something," he said.

Liechtenstein, which has about 34,000 inhabitants and is slightly smaller than Washington DC, doesn't have an army.

Fools that you are, the Scheisskopf plan was first mentioned in the foreword to the 1912 edition of "Janes Fighting Drunks" and even then was intended only as a diversionary tactic. The real plan has always been to attack the soft underbelly of Europe by fist taking over the Leicestershire underpant industry and then flooding the market with cheap flannel drawers impregnated with itching powder. Then, when the whole male population had been driven to a mad, scratching frenzy an army of no more than 250 troops under the direction of Field Marshal Erich von Pfennigbanken would cycle calmly over the Alps and free wheel into Trieste disguised as Neopolitan ice cream vendors.

The locals would siezs on the ice cream as a way of easing their burning nether regions thereby immediately transferring the GNP of the area into the hands of the invaders and leaving themselves penniless and unable to mount any sort of defence.

Documents seen via Google Earth conclusively show that the S-Plan is to be put into effect at 0712. A feint, involved thousands of troops and military equipment, will be made towards France but the actual attack will be straight down the the Italian pennisula; the port of Naples is to be in Liechtensteiner hands before teatime.

It is thought that some in the Liechtenstein military establishment (know at "The Rectangle" from the shape of the headquarters building) consider the plan too ambitious and feel that the time for the occupation of Naples should be pushed back to bedtime.

Ah, yes...the dreaded "S" plan! It is named after the great Liechtensteiner Admiral Otto Ingemar Von Scheisskopf, Liechtenstein's WWI era genius of naval design and strategy. Admiral Von Scheisskopf assisted the Imperial German and Imperial Austrian fleets in the design of some superdreadnoughts which could have won the naval war for the Central Powers if they had been built and had ever gotten into combat.

One of them did reach the fitting out stage. The not very well known "Grosser Von Weltschmertz" left harbour in early 1918 and steamed into the Baltic. It was armed with an unprecedented amount of firepower: no less than 30 fifteen-inch guns in an incredible 10 triple turrets! This left the ship capable of no better than 17 knots top speed...but it was felt that the pride of the British Navy would not allow them to run away. They would fight, and the Von Weltschmertz would destroy them, one ship after another, with its mighty guns.

Sadly, this was not to be. The captain of the Grosser Von Weltschmertz made the terribly unfortunate...and in hindsight, reckless decision to train all 24 gun barrels to port and fire a simultaneous broadside! (the 6 barrels in the starboard wing turrets were not, of course, involved...leaving 24 barrels firing at 90 degrees to port)

The ship immediately capsized, rolling over to starboard, and was tragically lost in 800 feet of water, having never met the British navy in battle. 2600 German sailors died uselessly. It was a comparable disaster to the loss of the Swedish galleon "Vasa" in an earlier age, and it put a halt to all further naval construction in Germany.

When informed of the disaster, Admiral Weltschmertz flew into an apoplectic rage. "Idiots!" he screamed. "They should of course have fired a ripple volley, not a simultaneous volley of all guns! Fools! Nincompoops! Morons!"

In a classic passing of the blame, however, the Kaiser and the High Seas Fleet declared that it was all Admiral Scheisskopf's fault and that the design was fatally flawed. "That madman," declared the Kaiser, "has cost us a full year of naval construction for nothing! He should be shot!"

Admiral Von Scheisskopf did the only thing he felt he could do under the circumstances. He blew his brains out with a revolver on the front steps of the Liechtenstein Naval Academy. Thus perished the greatest naval mind of that era...perhaps of any.

The Liechtenstein Army has created a Secret Plan called the "Schiesskopf Plan" which will give the country a seaport or two. The "S-Plan" (as it is known) then calls for the immediate surrender and scuttling of the British Navy and replacement of "Rule, Britannia" with "Liechtenstein The Gem Of The Ocean," if copyright obstacles can be overcome.

According to the World News section in my latest copy of the Isle of Arran Shoemakers Monthly, the three L's have now aligned themselves with the Federation Against the Rutland Takeover (FART) movement and have established a secret terrorist training centre in the abandoned village of Lower Hambleton. The peace and tranquility of rural England is now being disturbed by gangs of foreigners practising their black arts with the use of cunningly converted Belgian waffle irons and treacle.

I fear it may be too late to stop this new menace!!

It's about now somebody is bound to post the five year plan for converting English to German. In the US it's a 25 year plan, two decades to educate enough of the population that the rest of the world exists, and the same time on the words.

I hear a group not at all connected with the Lichtenstein Government was caught in West Africa trying to buy the raw ingredients for a truly terrifying weapon, a 300% cocoa chocolate. It will be distributed in target areas disguised in civilian wrappings, such as HEERshy bars, and is the start of a shock and awe campaign to introduce whole states to food that has not been deep fried, nor contains corn syrup. Casualties are expected to be high...
