Subject: Favorite Finishing Off Tune From: Sam Pirt Date: 21 Mar 99 - 06:33 PM We've had peoples favorite finishing off song so I thought it would be good for us musicians to have a crack at it as well. My favorite finishing off tune is one called 'Masons Apron' or 'Trip to Winsor'(both Irish, both sound best in A and both are reels!!!) They are such happy tunes that just make you get up and dance. And they just seem always to reach a frenzie by the end GREAT!! What are your favorite finishing off tunes? Bye, Sam |

And I'd post some of the words for you, but I just checked on something at that blasted HamsterDance page and I can't get the silly tune out of my head! Truly. Blessings, Barbara |

Subject: RE: Favorite Finishing Off Tune From: Susan A-R Date: 21 Mar 99 - 08:05 PM Lord preserve us and protect us! We've been drinkin' whisky for (or is it before?) breakfast Those are the only words I've heard. we pair it up with Stan Rogers "Athens Queen" which works well. There's the obvious slow stuff: Ashokan's Farewell, Lord Injuquin (sp?)
