I'm moving back to the southwest this spring after a 10yr. hiatis, and would like to get in touch with the folk scene out there.i.e.;
clubs,coffee houses festivals and gatherings for music. Any ideas?

Goodpony, I'm in Albuquerque, and would be glad to get you caught up to date, although I'm not up on everything. FolkMads probably has the most comprehensive website. There is a monthly sing-around the first Friday of the month, in Coralles.
