Info for all South Yorks folkies. Keith Kendrick will be appearing at Kiveton Park F.C, next Tuesday 6th February. One of our favourite guests over the years, Keith can be guaranteed to provide a lively evenings entertainment with some rousing songs, brilliant Anglo and English concertina work and a good dose of Derbyshire wit. Come and see one of the folk world's most respected and long-standing performers!Free gub in the break, a cheap bar and a friendly crowd will add to the occasion. Kick off 8.30. All welcome.

Sorry ZM, must have been pi**ed again! However, there will be free GRUB in the break and for them as don't like it, they'll have to be satisfied with gub (Which will not be free, 'cos gub is expensive these days!)

Seriously, Keith is a brilliant performer, very talented and an all-round nice bloke. Get to Kiveton to see him if you can, it will be well worth the effort. Plenty of songs to join in with and Keith has a great rapport with his audience. Nice club, friendly people, singers are always welcomed and in my experience, newcomers usually get a spot.

Now I'll shut me gub!

Keith Kendrick and Sylvia Needham are visiting South Wales at the Greyhound, Llanrhidian on Sunday February 18 and Llantrisant Folk Club, The Windsor Hotel, Pontyclun on Wednesday 21 February. I'll be going to Ireland, so I'll miss the Llantrisant gig - but I'm definitely going to Llanridian!

Tim, Thanks for your enquiry as to the location of the club. Its on Stone Close, off Stoney Bank Drive, held at Kiveton Park Colliery Cricket Club. You can access directions and a map at our website
www.kivetonfolk.fsnet.co.uk, or, if you're in the area, get to The Saxon boozer (the crossroads at Hard Lane) and ask anyone for the cricket club, from there its only a couple of minutes away. It would be nice to see you if you can make it on Tuesday 6th for Keith's night, or any night for that matter. Newcomers are most welcome.
