Pretty optimistic about making it now (plus Lurking Mudkitten). Will organise own accomodation.

What's the accommodation situation Giok ?

No single rooms left, I know, how many doubles remaining for the weekend ?

Is it going to be a total Mudcat takeover ?

I'll find out what's left Murray, the reason I keep refreshing this thread is because we want to make it a totally Mudcat occasion. If we can't fill it then we may have to put up with a few tweedy fishermen. Don't suppose they'll want to stay up till 3 AM singing and drinking ¦¬]

If we can't fill with Mudcatters, we might have to advertise on Footstompin' and fill the remaining rooms with fiddlers and concertina players.

hopefully it won't come to that ...

Can you imagine the poor people if (for example) every room except one goes to Mudcatters and the remaining room to some "ordinary" couple looking for a quiet holiday?

MMario has donated one of his wonderful shawls to help us raise funds at this Mudcat McGathering.
I thought that we'd raffle it separately, in addition to the normal raffle at the event. This will give other people the chance to buy a ticket and participate even if they can't make the gathering.
My not very good photo's of said shawl are here Contact me if you want tickets, £1 each is fair I think.
A big vote of thanks to Leo for this donation.

Giok

Hostel from £15.00 per night (as above)I've still got to find out a) how far away from the hotel it is and b) Can we get late passes. IIs anyone else considering staying there?)Flights are from £50.00 return. The sooner you book the better as they steadily rise as the date gets nearer. Liz, with Limpet, it may be cheaper to buy a family railcard and get an apex fare. It was £30.00 return to Glasgow on certain trains.

I suspect we'll be flying... for 3 of us, it could cost about £200, or as much as £600 - as the ticket man and I agreed, we could probably buy a whole carriage for that price!

It depends on what I can carry up on the train, but I should come armed with one or more from a selection of fiddle, mandolin, concertina, whistle and guitar… and, of course, voice.
