It is with some regret and serious thought that I have finally come to the decision NOT to leave Mudcat. The biggest thread I ever started (in this incarnation) only ever made 30 or so entries, but even so, although I have been villified and abused I have taken the momentous decision NOT to leave.

Never having had Catspaw(49), Goik , Gibby Martinson, Dave the Gnome, McGrath of Harlow, Katlaughing,Peace, Rapaire, Greg Stephens et al ever posting to my threads I still will not leave.

It's no good arguing or discussing. My mind is made up. The hell with you all I am staying until I get at least 100 postings. (more if you really want me to stay away).

So Hello forever.

And I have to admit that this one does.

Spot the Dog, I'll add to your thread so you can stay-or does adding to your thread mean you leave? I'm not clear on that.

And by the way, excuse me if this question reveals my lack of BSness, but who is Gibby Martinson? I recognize the other Mudcatters you mentioned, or I think I would recognize them if I had ever seen them which I haven't but that's not my point.

Gibby Martinson, that name doesn't ring any bells.

Am I having a senior moment?

Gibby Martinson is probably someone who kicked Spot the Dog in first grade. I've never encounted anyone by that name at Mudcat and I've been here since the last ice age.

I'd be the last to desire that Spot the Dog's residency at Mudcat be curtailed...

OK OK...I get the picture. Look, just think for minute what you are potentially losing here. Before you all go helter skelter for the 150th post and the demise of that good old boy Spot the Dog. Just take a step back and think of the costs to Mudcat.

I am well trained, never (well hardly ever) soil the carpet and have a famous UK childrens TV show where I am the main character. Think of all those children, waiting in the cold by their TV sets just hoping to catch a glimpse of good ole Spot and there he is, gone. You couldn't live with yourselves could you.

There would be questions in the House, government enquiries, charges of bribery for the winner of the champagne (type) wine.

Arrrgh, I am contributing to my own demise everytime I post. As I said in the thread title I really don't want to leave but man this is democracy in action.

If enough want me to go then so be it. I don't mind packing up my pitifully few belongings in a little red handkerchief and with a small sigh, walk out into the cold,wet,dark (I never liked the dark even as a pup) February night. Treading the hard northern streets looking for a kennel to call my home. No more friendly pats in the Mudcat tavern, no more love notes from Spaw. It's a terrible dilemma Spot I agree.

I vowed to leave Mudcat too but could not, even though nobody posted to my threads and any post I made to a thread would invariably be the last, i.e. the final death knell for that subject.

Heavens, even Gibby Martinson never insulted me! Well only relatively mildly and then only about my sexual relationship with my mother and apparent lack of a known father.

I feel I am being maligned here. I don't smell of dead skunk. This is the UK and skunks only come in the two legged variety usually wearing hoodies.

I have a kennel club certificate (which makes me good for breeding)and my pups cost a lot of money (at least the two that I have have cost me a fortune over the years). I have a university degree (Latvia central) in Beano studies (£50-00 including the frame).

If everyone stops posting I would be able to stay and value add this esteemed Cafe. Otherwise if the 150 posts are made I will have to go forever and join the MDDL (are Old Spot still dancing these days?).
