Oh I got it wrong
It seems Charlie is looking after me as there are no other responsible adults available in Grimsby that evening.
So will still be under the thumb.
I happen to think Dick is one of the best guitar players you can hear for a long way around.
I also admire
Strollin',Mr Stitherum,Mr Tiffany,and Mr Newton.
And I keep asking the lovely Sharon of WWW to give me a few pointers
But alas to no avail.
Hey I should mention that Dick is a great (and reasonably priced) Guitar teacher.
He he Its just unfortunate that I am such an apalling student

Hey was playing at a rock jam session in Grimsby last night.
Did folky stuff went down.
Yeah just went down but was good night and fun.
Mr and Mrs Rockhen backed me up drums and accordion.
They were great.

Sorry can't make it either to see all those varied and wonderful performers.Mind you i would have liked to see the Twangy experience unfold as he is kept in his place.
Glad your back to the 25min slots for supports and the 30mins each half for main act.It all went a bit sqiffy last time i went.

Great night! Personally, I also think the new timings are even better, Villan. I like the 2 x 30 min for the main act, better than 1 x 45 mins. Ditto to G & T and everyone else who played.
BTW, I thought Charlie did v well with Twangy and he was pretty well-behaved for once, I may suggest they bring her every time!

I had a great night and it was good to meet up with other 'Catters known and new.

I must say that Paul young really impressed me. If he and Will are the future of folk music then there will BE a future. I would love to see those two again. Well worth the journey on their own.

Thank you to all the mumsy types who realised that charlies enjoyment of the evening was being spoiled by having to look after me.
I though the evening as always excellent and varied and I was bit miffed had to leave early but had to do what I was told by me responsible adult.
Thought Dicko was great!
..... and Paul and his freind brill! that how shanty type things should be "FUN".
Not a word that gets used much in some other clubs.(Errr actualy is used a lot at Gainsbro too.)
Stitherum were lovely really enjoyed the set guys great mix and as always full of emotion.
My own personel and probably biased fave was Hearing WWWooky actualy sing the lead in a couple of songs.
That lass has been a great encouragement and support to us and was lovely to hear her having a go.
Of course with the rest of the WWW on top form she had a great start.
