Just wondering if anybody out there can help with lyrics of this wonderful song

All I remember is - Gorgeous & Bright - everything's right - even the Raglan Road (or in some verses even the Dublin Road)

I know Thom had an album out of the same name in 1994.

Thanks

Lyrics copied from Broadjam.com. You can hear the complete song by clicking on a button on that page.

GORGEOUS AND BRIGHT
Thom Moore

Monaghan was frozen.
Snow fell night and day.
Lighter hearts who'd chosen
To, set out from Ballybay.
We meant to find Lough Egish,
But the world was dazzled white:
A fire was lit, we drank a bit,
And home before the night.

Gorgeous and bright,
Everything white,
Even the Dublin road:
A fire blazing robs a heart of its load.

O my love, but life is
Never easy days:
When you learn what "wife" is
You'll rue your girlish ways.
Bend to law: bud and go—
It's written in the stars;
But propagate you no mistakes, though,
When they close the bars.

Gorgeous and bright,
Everything right,
Even with lights down low:
A fire blazing robs a heart of its load.

The epitaph you count on
Is never what's in store:
"His metaphors—the bag of 'em—
Were angular and sore."
No: "Wake me when I'm famous,"
That's what they heard him say;
So let's drink to him and Seamus,
And all who've got away.

Gorgeous and bright,
Everything right,
Even on raglan road:
A fire blazing robs a heart of its load.

Gorgeous and bright,
Day out of night,
Everywhere you go:
A fire blazing robs a heart of its load,
Yes, robs the heart of its load.

[Recorded by Thom Moore on his album "Gorgeous & Bright," 1994.]

There's a great version of this song on Seamie O'Dowd (ex Dervish)'s album "A headful of Echoes" which came out last year.

A great album, well worth a listen.
