Brilliant! Highly entertaining and wonderful singers. We saw them at Shrewsbury last year, they were one of the highlights of the festival.

We were on just before them at Towersey, and thought they were brilliant, and so, it seemd, did the audience!

I saw them at Broadstairs. Amazing stuff. Didn't get the impression there were many people there feeling bored, and I certainly wasn't.

Here is a YouTube clip of them - only three minutes unfortunately, but it's enough to get a taste and warn off anyone who feels the same way as Skipy: Spooky Men's Choral

And here is their website. Spooky...

You're right there, Fee Lock. Not musically, but the same combination of beautifully tight group singing, bleak-blokeishnessness, and self-mockery.

Only You.

I did a workshop with them at Broadstairs - excellent!
Saw them in concert - very amusing and well worth watching. One mate was soooooooooooo bored she slept through most of the concert and another found them totally unfunny.

I made one of them fall off stage laughing so much...

I loved them, but then, I'm weird.

Skipy - does 'Towersey - bored, bored, bored' include the conversation you say we had but I can't remember?!

Hi, LTS, yes it does, over by the real ale bit at the shoes.
Skipy
On reflection the raging tooth ache that I was suffering may have clouded my day. Need to see them again now it's out.

Whenever I saw and listened to them in Oz "bored" was the least likely descriptor you could apply to the audiences. Great singing, great harmonies, excellent at 'taking the piss'.

Cheers, Rowan
