I heard a song at KC Renfest

first verse was: Johnny why don't you come home, come home, Johnny why don't you come home. Your mother is sitting in a room all alone, Johnny why don't you come home, come home.

I have looked every place I can think of and cant find the other 3 verses to this song.

The words are not the same as those of Sonny's Dream, but in a way the sentiment is (except that the mother is begging her son not to leave, instead of to come home), and the meter is similar as well. So could it be that this is the right song, and your memory has fooled you?

Not sure who sang it I have heard it a few times while working at the Kansas City Renfest I know the first verse, the second starts as maggie why don't come down, come down, maggie why don't you come down they.ve taken the lives of the ones that you love maggie why dont you come down.

I know there is a verse with Annie why dont you rise up and the last starts with Katie why dont you stand tall ............
