Subject: RE: Waltham Abbey FC - Hilary Ward - From: My guru always said Date: 06 Mar 07 - 09:49 AM Well I enjoyed it :-) No legs broken, didn't forget any words (a couple of minor stammers), managed introductions & credits too and had a request for the same song from two different people - spooky! Only one couple left at half-time but they did apologise which counts for a lot. Won some choccies in the raffle which may not last until Miskin and was served Port from the bar at a very reasonable cost of 95p - wonderful! Really good venue and lovely to see friendly faces, heard some excellent songs too. Many thanks to Leraud for giving me the opportunity to gain some much-needed experience, and thanks to all here for good wishes! Next stop, Pontyclun :-) |

Subject: RE: Waltham Abbey FC - Hilary Ward - From: My guru always said Date: 04 Mar 07 - 05:11 PM Thanks for putting up this thread Lynne, am really looking forward to tomorrow night. Went past the Waltham Abbey turn on the M25 this afternoon, so the car should have a vague idea of where to go, good old MultiMap will do the rest :-) Lovely to see you on this thread Severn, many thanks for your good wishes, what a super Santa you are! |
Subject: RE: Waltham Abbey - Hell, a reward !-"Ed's up!" From: Severn Date: 04 Mar 07 - 06:54 AM I would if I could and hope to redeem a rain check on a welcome at the Abbey another time, like say-late August when I'll be over there. I'm sure she'll be sufficiently well recieved for you to book her again, as a just re-Ward. Until then, I'll listen to her CD across The Pond as an en-trans'd-ponder while I ponder the future and wish "Ed" (My Guru's always "Ed") the best of luck on her gig from far-away Maryland. |
Subject: Waltham Abbey FC - Hilary Ward - From: Leraud Date: 04 Mar 07 - 04:33 AM Hilary Ward (my gurualways said) will be doing a Feature spot at the Waltham Abbey Folk Club on Monday 5th March. Waltham Abbey Folk Club meets every Monday from 8:30 to 11:00 p.m. at the Royal British Legion, Brooker Street, Waltham Abbey, Essex and you will be warmly welcomed, should you deign to attend. If you don't deign to attend, you won't be warmly welcomed, because you won't be there. Think upon this truth and attend. Lynne Heraud |
