Well - that might not happen Ross.
I suddenly remembered on the way home last night that I am holding a murder mystery party tomorrow - one of those 'been in the cupboard for ages' boxes.

There's not too much to get ready - just a three course meal, make the house look like a stately home (ideas please? I have candles and tiara so far)and get out the vacuum cleaner. I think guests are staying so I have to sort beds. Oh yes - and iron the tablecloth.
Trouble is there's wet washing all over the place - even the stuff on the line has got wet now in the rain.

If the tumble drier door hinge doesn't come in the post today, then I'm deffo bu**ered and I will be down the laundrette tonight.

The edible dormouse or fat dormouse (Glis glis) is a small dormouse and the only species in the genus Glis. It was farmed and eaten by the ancient Romans, from which it gains its name. The dormice were kept and raised either in large pits or (in urban surroundings with not a lot of space) in terra cotta containers, not completely unlike contemporary hamster cages. The dormice would finally be cooked and eaten, usually as a snack.

To this day, wild edible dormice are consumed in Slovenia, where they are considered a rare delicacy, although their use as food was more widespread before World War II.[1]

The edible dormouse lives in continental Europe and has been introduced to the Chilterns of England. In England, the edible dormouse population is concentrated in a 200-square-mile triangle between Beaconsfield, Aylesbury and Luton.

The countryside is full a wild and unpredictable beasties. On the trip home of Sainsbury's we met a badger, a fox, a muntjack deer and a rabbit. Yesterday I kept meeting gentlemen phesants arguing over who's patch was who's. We have buzzards overhead and a mallard has taken up residence with me chickens (the buzzard thing and the mallard are not connected) - And no Ross, the mallard is the ducky kind with feathers, not the train.

Yes, I might be the only paid-up punter tonight, as I'm not performing - I'll be on the subs bench ready to stand in for anyone who gets injured (but not if they get sent off!) :-)

The car park's not huge, but if it fills up there are spaces in the road so it's not a problem, even when the place is packed (the room only holds about 50 people).

I don't understand that last bit, Ross - if there's nothing coming, what do these people give way to?

They may be some folkies who will come along from the other alternate around the room night

I'm never sure what the rules are about those 'child' parking spaces. I don't think they're like disabled ones, where you would be causing problems for disabled people by parking in them. I think we only parked in one of the 'brat' spaces once when the rest of the car park was full.

When our son was a kid, we never had special parking spaces, so I don't see why they should now ;-)

I had a woman barking at me last night in Sainsbury's carpark cos I parked in the parent and child space, (I am a parent and the big lad was with me) she had ranted on about selfish people and not obeying rules and causing accidents etc etc, I just looked her in the eye and calmly said - do I look like I give a s**t - and walked away.
Not the best example for Tim, but when he was small he was in bed at early and this was at 8.30.
