Les Sullivan will be at Herga next Monday to launch his latest CD, "Echoes of Lowlands", recorded and produced by George Papavgeris (who also contributed guitar and bass accompaniment and harmony vocals), with harmonies from myself, Derek Burgess and Johnny Collins. Includes "The Ringmaster's Hat" (which won the last Maidenhead FC songwriting competition 2 years ago), "Menin Gate" and "Harvest of Iron".

Should be a great night for singing and listening! Hope to see some visitors from other clubs.

Les also has a gig at Readifolk on the 11th March, ie. the night before the CD launch so if you are around come and have a sing.

Unable to travel so far on a week night. duty 7am next day. What a pity if you have not seen and heard Les well worth a visit. Excellent entertainer and singer. All the best. Hope to get hold of a copy of the new CD soon. Hopefully see Les at Forest Folk weekend in June. Psychomorris

Well, I had a great time singing and listening - thanks Les for a brilliant evening! The first time we vocal harmonists had actually sung some of the songs together rather than as separate tracks in the studio.....

For those of you who missed it (and the opportunity to buy the CD), Les will be at Crediton next weekend.

Fortunately he's home again, and apart from looking as though he's been 10 rounds with Mike Tyson, not in too bad shape.

A great evening. Lots of good singing and some of my favourite songs. Looking forward to listening to the CD, Les. I'll lend it to The Ref until he can get one of his own.

He already sings 'Granville's Mother's mince pies', I do 'Rum not Ale' and 'City of lost dreams' and we sing 'Harvest of Iron' together. I think it has to be 'Long Way Home' or 'The Ringmaster's Hat'to try next!
