Er, I know it may seem obvious to you guys, but where exactly is it? I assume somewhere in Blaydon (the Black Bull perhaps?). The excellent guest list makes me think it probably is in Blaydon, but it would be good to have it confirmed!

The venue is Path Head Mill Heritage Site which is a mile or so from The Black Bull. Last years website had a plan etc but the new site was not
functioning yesterday when original details posted.

The site has an air of rural tranquility when compared to The Black Bull :0)

Will refresh when 2007 website is fully functioning if thread has dropped into the abyss.

It seems like the main site oldandnewtradition.com is still down.

I was able to find a map and programme on the website yesterday, but don't how to do blue clickies. (You can find it by googling Blaydon races folk music festival though).

Great festival--my first folk festival ever in fact. I'll be going again!

The water mill site is really special. A place I'd be glad to visit even without the music.

I don't know, but the organizers seem very organized and helpful last year and this year, so I'm sure you'll get an answer..

Many thanks to Danny & Joyce McLeod, Ednie Wilson and Peter Wood together with many others.

My highlight was the piping and the dancing of the Doonans, Jez Lowe and the High Level Ranters. Nice to see Ray Fisher around as well!

Stalwarts Adam McNaughtan, Dave Webber & Anni Fentiman helped to create a truly memorable event: we will be there again next year.

Only minor quibbles were with the catering arrangements and the 3PM Sunday finish. I would have preferred a little longer but I do understand the constraints on returning the Path Mill Water site to its normal duties.

BTW for those with satellite navigation next year the postcode of the site is NE21 4SP.

A fantastic festival.

I'm updating the Festivals section of our Links page. Is this festival still in operation? I can't find a current Website.
