Subject: Lyr/Tune Req: Look out your window... From: wysiwyg Date: 15 Mar 07 - 09:17 AM This is a request for a friend. He believes he heard it on the radio by a male singer. May be old or newer southern gospel in style, uptempo and maybe 3/4. Some phrases he remembers: Look out your window, see what you can see Silence is broken by opening the door All the wonders of life you've never seen before This is for a determinedly cheerful elderly man whose wife is not doing well in a battle with lymphoma and who is anticipating his own surgery in a few weeks. The really pretty snowy morning here reminded him of the song. Can y'all help me find a clip, tune, and/or full lyric? Thanks, ~Susan |
Subject: Lyr Add: TIE ME AT THE CROSSROADS (Bruce Cockburn) From: wysiwyg Date: 15 Mar 07 - 10:10 AM I doubt this is it. ~S~ ===================== Tie Me At The Crossroads by Bruce Cockburn CHORUS: Tie me at the crossroads when I die Hang me in the wind 'til I get good and dry And the kids that pass can scratch their heads And say "who was that guy?" Tie me at the crossroads when I die Looking outward see what you can see By the time you look at something it's already history As the echoes of our passing fade, all there is to say Is, "you know I loved you all in my particular way" (Chorus) It's more blessed to give than it is to receive Except when it comes to free advice I believe Here I go anyway, back seat driving tonight Move fast, stay cool, keep your eye on the front sight (Chorus |
Subject: partial add: Look Out Your Window (Ray Repp) From: GUEST,Edward Kwawu Date: 18 May 14 - 01:00 PM I guess am too late, but its better late than never. This the full lyrics heard it @ Mass one Sunday and loved it soo much. Have been searching for the audio till now but no success. LOOK OUT YOUR WINDOW (Ray Repp) Look out your window See what you can see Silence is broken By opening your door Look out your window See if you can see All the wonders of life You've never seen before Spend just a moment to look out your window, the glass is as clear as you want it to be Life dawns a newness to all who are willing to open much more than their eyes when they see Look out your window See what you can see Silence is broken By opening your door Look out your window See if you can see All the wonders of life You've never seen before |
