He probably died of shame when he heard about the latest drunken antics of our recent Test Captain.

Well Sky reported that he died of an overdose of drugs and Alcohol.
So unless his drinks were spiked, he looked as though he couldn't take the shame of losing. If that is the case, it makes it even sadder.
Had his wife been there, it probably wouldn't have happened.

I think partners should be with their sporting heroes as support in times of stress.

Its had enough being away from your family for a long period. but a darn sight worse when under stress.

Watching the English rugby team play recently, you can understand if some of the management take a page out of his book. Cricket has to be the most boring pastime, no one can call it a sport.

Uncalled for Alba.

This thread is not about the merits of cricket. Its about the sad loss of a very respected person in the world of cricket.

Can we keep it that way please.

I remember him from his test-playing days. A good player and handy with the bat. Dennis Amis spoke very highly of him on this mornings Today programme. The Pakistan team seemed absolutely stunned.
