Lyr Req: A Maiden's Prayer (Bob Wills)

I was wondering if someone might have the words to an old fiddle tune called "Maidens Prayer". I heard it sang one time by an old friend (Earl Nott) and somewhere in the lyrics,as I recall, was "the answer to a maidens prayer". I have searched the data base with no results. Appreciate any help you may be able provide.

Tho' I posted the lyrics to this song
some time ago...this RE/RECORDED version
differs slightly from that original recording...

A MAIDEN'S PRAYER
Recorded by: Bob Wills w/Tommy Duncan vocal
Words and music: Bob Wills

Twilight falls, ev'ning shadows find
There 'neath the stars, a maiden so fair, divine
The moon on high seemed to see her there
In her eyes was a light, shinin' ever so bright
She whispered a silent prayer.

Ev'ry word revealed an empty broken heart
Broken by fate that holds them so far apart
Lonely there, she kneels and tells the stars above
In her arms he belongs, in her prayer is a song
Her unending song of love.

It's a helluva job making those lyrics fit the melody, but if you slur a lot of notes, you can just make it. It's one of Bob Wills' prettiest compositions. --seed

Huh??? So that's it!!!

Iwas thinking more about the one that goes,

"Please don't knock me up til we're married"

Must have a different name.Huh. how about that?????????
