27 Mar 07 - 10:44 PM (#2009059) Subject: RE: BS: Citizen Bikes From: The Fooles Troupe Currently there is talk in Australia of starting up a system used in Europe, whereby you pay a yearly fee, then you can just pick up and ride one of a fleet of bikes when and where you want, then just leave it there - hopefully one will be there for your return journey... Actually such systems have been around for ages, without the necessity of paying - unless you get caught... |

03 Apr 07 - 11:33 PM (#2015804) Subject: RE: BS: Citizen Bikes From: mg I got it..It is fairly heavy and I doubt I can lift it up very high but it does have a carrying bag with wheels so it can be dragged. The levers are very hard for me to push in but I am just getting weak. Also, the handlebars are quite narrow and the front wobbles but I am just getting used to it. It appears very stury and well-made. The seat is not comfortable at all. I was hoping to have something I could fold and put in the car, which I probably could, just barely...or even drag on the bus folded if I couldn't get it on the rail. But it is actually pretty heavy for me..but it is fun to ride and really cute and that is the main thing...just to have one for when my car dies which it happening right about now. mg |
