I have finally found out my great-grandmother's maiden name who came here as an orphan...it is possible it is her adopted name but I don't think so. And I doubt she was really an orphan when she left but could have been when she arrived. Any far-distant relatives I might have on that side of the family? mg |

The owner was named Creehan. I remeber because my maiden name was Greenan & we discussed the similarity of the names. I've been to Clonmel-but can't recall where that B & B was located. There is an Irish paper in NYC where people write in & make requests like yours. You might give that a shot-"The Irish Echo" I have a subscription-but don't have a copy in the house so you must look up the address. Good Luck MG--from a former MG. |
