Will you be headed down to anywhere near the Virginia-North Carolina border?

Well, well, well. Can't wait for the Getaway, eh?

Unfortunately Terry already has gigs booked for the same time as the Getaway, so it looks like he won't be there! But, I WAS able to persuade him to come over in May so he can see a bit of the South! I'll be working most of the time (no vacation days left) but he'll have the use of my car so he'll be able to take day trips during the week - as long as he picks me up from work in the evenings! We'll post the gigs more prominently as the time gets closer but hopefully we can get some of the FSGW up to Pat Troy's in Alexandria for our show. Terry is a brilliant musician and I'm really looking forward to sharing the stage with him.

I'm in Southeast VA, but will be away late May - early June. Check www.tffm.org for folk-related activities in the area.

Terry and Mary...

Susette and I will be at the Fiddler's Grove Festival in Union Grove NC and then down home in Asheville on the mountain. Sorry to miss Mary in Alex and Fredericksburg.

Terry since you slept in the guest suite downstairs there's been strange noises and odors in there at all hours. Did you leave something behind?. If so please make arrangements to come and collect it.

Mary, please put me on your email list/let me know about your gigs in F-burg and Alex. I'm very sorry to miss these.
cheers Chance

I should be able to make the hellin' at Troy's. Wouldn't want to miss it for all the steak in Salisbury. I know them and have heard them on their own. Together should be a great time.

Surprised not to see a message yet from Bobert, who lives in Luray, in the Shenandoah Valley.

We will post more as the time approaches, along with details of the gigs. I live in Mechanicsville, just east of Richmond - about 2 hrs from DC, an hour from Fredericksburg or Charottesville, and a couple of hours from Virginia Beach/Hampton Roads. Terry is traveling till Wednesday and won't have access to the internet till then. I know Terry wants to meet up with any available 'catters while he is here! Anybody who makes it to one of our gigs risks being invited up on stage!

Denver would not be doable - but Charlottesville might! Will touch base closer to the time!

I'm sorry I will miss your events on the 26th, 27th and 1st. Any chance you will be performing at/going to the Washington Folk Festival on June 2 and 3??? They are lining up performers now.

Linda

We would love to perform there, but it was my understanding that the slots were only for residents of the DC area - but if time permits we may very well attend, at least!

Ha Ha I think Terry liked that bottle of Virginia Gentleman I brought over to Portaferry. Plenty more where that came from, Terry!

I'll keep an eye on your schedule as the time draws nearer. Work, tires and time permitting, it would be worth a run up to Richmond to see the two of you perform, and to squeeze in a visit.

Unfortunately we don't have any gigs in Richmond - the closest will be The Blarney Stone in Fredericksburg and Pat Troy's "Ireland's Own" in Alexandria, but IF anything comes up in Richmond I'll let everybody know. It WOULD be lovely to see 'catters wherever we go - MRRZY I think you came up to see me the first time I played up at Ireland's Own!
