Tech: A user account I didn't put on?

Subject: A user account (ASP.net) I didn't put on
From: leeneia

Today my printer ran out of paper. For some reason, I have to restart the computer when that happens. I clicked Restart and a box came up saying something like "Other users are logged on to this computer. If you shut down, they might lose work."

Other users!? My computer has only had one account on it (Owner) since Day 1. How could another user get on my computer? I checked the control panel, and the other account is for ASP.net. Wikipedia says that it is a Microsoft thing for setting up web pages. I have never taken a step toward setting up a web page.

Is the appearance of an ASP.net user account on my computer a sign of something wrong, or is it normal? (I removed it, checked my bank account, and ran AdAware.)

If you have XP, then read the following link.

Thanks very much, Peace. (I do have XP.)

The site says:

"Can I delete it?

You can remove this account, but it is vital if you do asp.net development work on your machine.
By removing the account you may find your ASP.net projects will no longer function correctly."

I have no plans ever to do any ASP projects. Meantime, I'm glad to hear I have not accidently removed my computer's liver.
