Is this one of the best of the smaller festivals?

Yes. It's a really nice little village and although there's only two concert venues they book some excellent up and coming artists as well as more established ones, so you get a great cross section. There's near enough twenty-four hour sessioning if you want it. Basically you get a lot of bang for your buck!

I agree with all of that. I won't be there this year tho, cos we have a gig in north devon.

have fun

Much social dance?

Not a lot, Les, from what I remember. And there's no point asking me! It's mostly a concert/singaround/dance display based festival, though it does have a ceilidgh, I believe. I'm there this year, and Jim Moray, Crucible, Jeremy Taylor, Ember, Keith Donnelly, Queensbury Rules, Seize the Day, Nuala....

I dropped in last year on Sunday on the way back from Doncaster via Nottingham, to Kent, and the Sunday sinaground was pretty OK.

They update periodically. If you had an agreement, give Julian a call.

Can't go.
My father, although he doesn't know it yet, is celebrating being 60 so I'll be in Reading drinking beer I can't afford in a room full of people I don't know!
Have fun without me y'all!

Right. After several hours of frantic activity, where myself and t'other½ have actually managed to avoid throttling each other, I think I've everything packed!!
Should be there about 18:00ish as 15yo daughter is doing a mock exam until 15:30.
Wonder who will be there?

Excellent small festival. We really enjoyed Jim Moray, Crucible, Skyhook, Loon and George Papavgeris but most were excellent and all good.

Just got back and de-kitted the Volvo & trailer.
A very good weekend, even during yesterday's squalls!
Yet again, well done to Hillary & Julian!
