Raymond is indeed still involved as publisher. The new editor is Gavin Davenport of Crucible/Hekety fame and is a fine fellow to have at the helm as is our own Malcolm Douglas who is part of the new team.

And nothing untoward has happened to the mag (I'm the graphics bloke now, incidentally). There has been a bit of a cock-up over the domain name renewal, that's all. Once that is sorted out, the website will be back. Meanwhile, may I remind potential contributors and advertisers that copy date for the next issue is fast approaching.

This would seem as good a time as any to remind you that the deadline for ads and news for the autumn edition is fast approaching (end July).

For reasons too complicated to go into just now, we have had to abandon the old website. Instead, there is a brand new one at

http://www.stirrings.org.uk/

I will be adding archive stuff to it as and when time allows.

Archives eh?

I've just come across a treasure chest at our house from when I was writing the Folk Column for the Doncaster Free Press - Stirrings, Tykes News and similar from 1984 to the 90's! They're not all there but make interesting reading.

There's also my publicity photos frin the same time - didn't you all look young :-)

Anybody interested pm me.
