He had been due to steward at Upton Festival over the past weekend, but we learned on Thursday that he had suffered a severe stroke. Peter was never a performer so far as I know - but a quiet, gentle soul in the background of many festivals, helping with stewarding or other background jobs. Our thoughts are with Liz and family. Liz and Peter's Mum Barbara are very keen to have as many of Peter's Folkie friends there as possible to give Peter a really good send-off. Before the funeral Peter's coffin will be brought into Banbury on top of his narrow boat 'Grampus' and Liz is hoping that there will be lots of musicians to play him along. I don't really think it's appropriate to publish all the details here, please PM me for further information. |

In any case, please know you are not alone in your grief. Find someone to tell about your happy memories, your sorrows, regrets...stories about you and your dad.
