SONGWRITERS SPECIAL -" THE WRITE NOTE "@ THE
LINCOLN CENTRAL LIBRARY ON THURSDAY, MAY 17TH, 2007 Noon - 2pm

The popular regular monthly Write Note sessions at Lincoln Central Library have added an extra date to tie in with the Lincoln Book Festival which runs from the 11-20 May.

Six local songwriters and performers will talk about the lyrics and the stories behind the songs they will perform. What influenced them to write a particular piece or what inspired them to perform another songwriter's song.

Wragby based singer-songwriter Richard Langridge, well known Lincoln musician Karl Svarc, BBC Radio Lincolnshire's folkman Tom Lane, Strummin' Steve Jackson, "Big" John Pape and bluesman "Easy" Bob Reid, will be doing the talking and the singing at the lunchtime session.

Admission is free and an audience is especially welcome. Some people come to listen to the whole session, others stay for half an hour or so during their lunchbreak, it's whatever suits the listener. Tea and coffee available too. Some people even bring a sandwich with them!
