07 Apr 99 - 10:48 AM (#68821) Subject: Music wanted : The Croppy Boy From: Bev Lawton Can anyone help? I need the music to "The Croppy/Croppie Boy" I have the words etc from the DT. This tune is used for a song I sing "Lord Franklin" and I am trying to persuade a melodeon player to accompany me but he needs the dots. I have searched all my usual ABC sites & archives but cannot find it. Any format will do but ABC prefered. Many thanks. Bev Lawton |

27 Dec 03 - 05:09 PM (#1080625) Subject: RE: Music wanted : The Croppy Boy From: Helen Guest, do you mean a copy of a recording by the Dubliners, or a copy of the sheet music? It helps to be more specific when you ask for info or resources here. Thanks Helen |
27 Dec 03 - 05:14 PM (#1080629) Subject: RE: Music wanted : The Croppy Boy From: Helen Bev, I use Noteworthy to convert midis to dots. It is a music notation software programme, which you can download for free but it costs only about $30 (from memory) to buy the full programme. You can then load in a midi file, hear it play, watch the dots as it plays, transpose, add extra harmonies or arrangements, and then print out the sheet music. You can also copy the sheet music and insert it in a word file. The free download programme lets you print out the music, which most free programmes don't allow you to do. [I have no connection to the company, usual disclaimers, just a happy customer.] Helen |
