Most of the songs are basically A Capella with just a little instrumentation here and there and in most cases, not what I have been allowed to perform in recent years. I'll entertain your suggestions for other songs and arrangements if you have the time to look through this. Thanks. If this works out though, I should be able to go back to the studio within a few months of this one. |

What song is asking *you* to be included? A song that keeps giving you a gentle nudge every now and then; a song that is just on the edge of your consciousness? My opinion of course. Now if you look through the list you will see "The highway of Tears" http://www.highwayoftears.ca/ which I had written regarding a number of missing women on Highway 16. I have put this song to that tune and added a couple of lines at the end of each verse. I think it works. I hope that doesn't bother you too much. (Seriously) I can post the words here if you want. 2)Macushla: I don't know why John McCormick's is the only version you heard but at least you heard the best. None the less; His was the style until the Folk Revival of the Late Fifties an Early Sixties when Folk Music was effectively given back to the workers and it was considered okay to sing in a less Classically trained voice. I think that now we are in danger of losing many of those songs which I love and many do not.
