02 Jun 07 - 12:06 PM (#2066548) Subject: RE: BS: Whatcha Multi-Tasking Right Now? From: wysiwyg :~) I'm going after fast-paced stuff now, a jogging cadence of 140+ beats per minute, so I'm getting to know bands I never bothered to hear before. Blondie, B52s. Wild! For example, filename: 168 Blondie - Denis ... will show up on my waterproof MP3 player sorted into the middle of a faster and faster workout, by folder. MTV has a "similar to" feature in their database, but the youTube videos open better, so I'm bouncing from band to band having a riot! It will all be great fun, in the water-- like water-dancing suspended in deep water! ~Susan |

Linkmaker 4. The Annexe 5. Sydney weather 6. Sydney radar 7. Canterbury weather (more local) 8. Maitland weather (going to that area next weekend) 9. Walka Water Works (the actual place we are going to next weekend - the event is called Sessionfest) 10. Newcastle Folk Club page (the guys who are putting this weekend on) 11. whereis.com (plotting the route to Sessionfest) 12. YouTube 13. Australian Chamber Orchestra (concert with Danny Spooner we are going to tomorrow) 14. JAM - the NSW Folk Federation website which has an article about the Danny Spooner concert posted by Sandra in Sydney 15. Google 16. Wikipedia (something I was looking up) 17. A page of Spike Milligan quotes 18. Music from ESMM which has links to a lot of Morris tunes Not to mention I am charging a new cordless phone, making a list for next weekend, glancing at the TV from time to time, folding a basket of clothes, clearing up the kitchen and boiling the kettle right now. There is a bag of tangled ropes (which I refer to as 'spaghetti') awaiting my attention - from the last time I camped and packed up quickly in the dark and the rain, but I think they will have to wait till tomorrow (after the Danny Spooner concert). I s'pose I should sleep at some point too. It's past bedtime. |

03 Jun 07 - 09:46 AM (#2067163) Subject: RE: BS: Whatcha Multi-Tasking Right Now? From: mack/misophist Not too many. I use 6 screens; one has my calender open, one has a paused Sherlock Holmes movie (Wohner as Holmes), and one has qps which I often find useful. Linux allows switching between multiple screens on one monitor. |
03 Jun 07 - 10:03 AM (#2067169) Subject: RE: BS: Whatcha Multi-Tasking Right Now? From: wysiwyg I'm back to YouTube for a few more tunes. I especially like the ones the music companies put up-- good sound quality and if they put it up, they don't mind I'm taking it. Today I'm off after Bruce Hornsby and Don Henley stuff, about 176 -184 BPM. Of course I knew their music, but I never realized how fast the underpulse is, under a slow and non-irritating vocal. ~Susan |

From: JennyO It's amazing what some computers can do these days, Susan :-) Mack/misophist - does this mean you've got Beryl? With 18 tabs open on this one, there really hasn't been much need yet.... |

And drinking some Woodchuck Amber cider (I'd sooner their dark and dry, but the closest sales place doesn't carry that kind). And reading email -- earlier it was my bandmates talking about our set at the somewhat water-soaked Washington Folk Festival yesterday (we're asking each other what we heard from audience members -- did they like it?), and now it's my wife asking about a new digital camera (hers seems to somehow be going fuzzy in focus). My lungs are adding oxygen to the hemoglobin in my red cells so that they can carry it to my bodily extemities, my heart is pumping away, neurons and synapses are functioning, intestinal ciliae and muscles are carrying food from my stomach to my intestines (see #2, above), and my body is converting glucose to heat (it's 47 F outside).
