If you are near the Astrodome, I think you could just take Kirby down to Westheimer and turn right. |

It's one of Houston's finest music room, and not far from where you'll be. Here's their particulars: The Mucky Duck 2425 Norfolk Houston, Texas 77098 Phone 713-528-5999 For the 17th - you might catch some live jams or open mics - you might even participate. I'd call and see what's up for each and choose the one that sounds most inviting. None are too far from you: Acoustic Open Mic Every week on Sunday Sidecar Pub 11202 Huffmeister Houston, TX 77065 Phone: 281-807-4040 Blue Flash Open Mic Night Every week on Sunday Ken's Club 6824 Wilcrest Houston, TX 77072 Phone: 281-575-7580 and here's another just southwest of Houston (about 30 minutes): Acoustic Open Mic Jam Session with Josal Every week on Sunday County Line 19412 FM 1093 Richmond, TX 77469 Phone: 281-398-4800 |

I guess the best thing would be to go take a look, might well do that on Saturday. I'd like to get up and sing a couple at an open-mic on the Sunday but, alas, not taking my guitar, so active participation's out, but it would be good to have a coffee or two and listen to some locals. Fortunately I'll be in the company of Houstonians, so they should be able to direct me. Thanks again guys, much appreciated. BWM :-) |
