BS: Selling my Mg - Harry K.

Has anyone out there done business with acompany called WeBuyAnyCar. com. They have made me a very fair offer for my MG ZS. But payment seems a bit dodgey -leave car, documents, et al and receive payment 4 days later. Give bank details also.

Cheers Harry K.

If you have something like a Better Business Bureau or consumer information place you could call, do so. The company has been in business for over five years and their profits have about doubled in that time. Read the fine print. ALWAYS read the fine print.

Don't sound too good to me boyo. Wouldn't part with the docs until you get the cash if I were you.

Some folks don't seem to think much of them over HERE.

Here's some more from this place:

Companies such as webuyanycar.com will provide an instant quote online for the majority of used cars.

The downside with selling to a dealer is that youre unlikely to receive the best possible price. Advertising and selling the car yourself is more time consuming but can also be more profitable. eBay Motors has become one of the most popular ways of buying and selling a used car, so much so that a car is now sold every 2 minutes through the site. When selling through eBay make sure that you include a lot of information about the car along with a couple of photos.

There does seem to be a mixed bag out there about them, though. I also found the following:

So after my post earlier in the week I got a lot of feedback via e-mail. One of the links I was pointed to was WeBuyAnyCar.com, to be honest I was highly sceptical but their online quote tool offered me a reasonable price for my car so I booked an appointment to go and see them. I assumed that once there they would try any way possible to reduce the quoted price, so was quite prepared to just drive away but, amazingly, they were completely true to their word and 15 minutes after arriving I was car-less and waiting for the train to get back into London. What a pleasant surprise for the second hand car industry to pull.

However, I would definitely read the postings HERE.

I would NOT leave them everything, as requested, including bank info. That's just crazy.

Good luck!

I sold my fiesta to webuyanycar.com, they work out of carcraft, its a massive showroom, they have lots of them i believe. Payment arrived as promised. You feel much more at ease when you get to the site, it was huge! with hundreds of cars there!
