Hey, Shane... what's the deal on them bastards at the beer store anaways? The sign says "free hat with a two four". So, I bought a twelve yesterday and a twelve today. Buddy says I can't have a hat! I says, you was here yesterday when I bought a twelve and this twelve makes a two four. He says, no, ya gotta buy a two four. I says, hey, buddy, it cost more for two twelves than for one two four, sos I should get my hat. He says it don't work that way and takes my hat. So I says okay and goes back and gets a two four and another hat. And I stuffs another hat down my pants. Fix them bastards, eh. GeezeO eh. Govermint hosers. |

12 Jun 07 - 04:44 PM (#2075092) Subject: RE: BS: The worth of Mudcat From: JohnInKansas The "valuation" appears to be based entirely on what could be earned by adding as many advertising links as possible and maintaining the existing level of traffic. The premise that one can arbitrarily take any existing website, load it with popups and Flash ads, and maintain traffic unchanged is IMO an example of sheer stupidity, unless existing visitors are overwhelmingly "sheerly stupid" (which is not necessarily an untenable assumption for many websites). I think I see a sales pitch for someone selling webspace advertising here. As with most advertising and for most advertising agencies, reality seldom intrudes. John |
