14 Jun 07 - 09:17 AM (#2076733) Subject: Anyone for Middlewich 2007? From: greg stephens Any Mudcatters going? Be glad to run into anyone. The Boat Band will be playing tonight(THursday) at the Boar's Head, upstairs, at the hotpot do for people who have come on a boat. On Sunday we'll be in the Boar's Head from 2.30-4PM running a workshop on Cheshire and Shropshire tunes, sort of fiddle-orientated but all musical instruments welcome (except shaky eggs, of course). Sunday evening is a concert with Keith Donnelly, the Boat Band and the New Rope String Band at the British Legion. Starts 8PM I think. Anyone else got any interesting gigs/sessions/workshops to mention? |

We are actually in the Boar's Head on Sunday PM, 2.30-4, doing a workshop on Shropshire and Chesahire traditional tunes, all instruments welcome. |

18 Jun 07 - 06:30 AM (#2079754) Subject: RE: Anyone for Middlewich 2007? From: Mo the caller Thanks. That was worth going to. I like it when people go slow enough for me to keep up, and since I find learning tunes by ear harder than from dots it was what I needed. And the informal session afterwards was good, hope I didn't put everyone off with my random squeaking! |
