From: GUEST,punkfolkrocker recently aquired a good quality "Strat" copy fitted with a "Wilkinson" tremelo.. just screwed the 'trem' bridge down flat and screwed the 'Trem claw' as tight as possible.. .like i normally do with 'Strats' to disable the tremelo.. so far this one sounds great and resonates really well with everything screwed down tight.. except.. if i play a B flat note anywhere on the higher half of the fretboard i get a really pronounced spring reverb effect.. but only on B flat notes.. ????? weird !!!!???? |

From: GUEST,highlandman Get a friend to play the offending notes while you stand in front of him and methodically place a finger on each and every thing you can think of (on the guitar I mean) until you touch the spot that kills the resonance. I've done this on everything from guitars to motorcycles and it works if you're patient. Of course then the job is only half done, you still have to fix it... -Glenn |
