17 Jun 07 - 02:54 AM (#2079073) Subject: Folklore: Mudcat at Islands Folk Festival From: Arthur Caldicott Observing the popularity of the Mudcat thread - "Canadian Mudcat Meet: Ormstown Quebec-July" (http://mudcat.org/thread.cfm?threadid=95586) I wonder if there are enough mudcatters around to generate interest in a mudcat event at the Islands Folk Festival on Vancouver Island this summer. (http://www.folkfest.bc.ca/) IFF is slightly over a month away. For its entire 23 years it has been what folk festivals were when you geezers first went to one - low key, funky, folky, family. Not overwhelmed by big names, big technology, big money. IFF 2006 was very much like Mariposa 1966. Any mudcatters planning on being there? Shall we make an occasion of it together? |

I have been in the past..Probably can't make it this year..it is just too far. But you can come to Sunnycamp end of September..there was a carpool planned from Victoria last year but driver got sick..hopefully they will make it this year. mg |
