I think that it must be a very old record, probably not on CD right now. Maybe someone has a copy somewhere and can send a recording. Maybe someone here knows the song and can put it onto tape. 24 Oct 24 - 05:21 AM (#4210306) Subject: RE: Add: The Hobnailed Boots that Farver Wore From: GUEST,Cliff Robinson David Kossoff sang this and other music hall songs in character as "Alf Larkin" (a popular British TV character in the early 1960s) on an LP ("Larkin Singing") which has ended up on Spotify crediting the backing singers, the Mike Sammes Singers, and it seems that album was at some time issues with another LP, a recording of the MSS with Tom Lehrer. My dad, Fred Robinson, invented "the Larkins" and wrote the TV (and film) scripts and the verbal links on the Larkin LP. |
