10 Jan 04 - 10:27 AM (#1089977) Subject: RE: Sheet music for Irish Trad 'Julia Delaney' From: Malcolm Douglas You can easily turn the abc notation give above into staff at the "ABC Convert-A-Matic" http://www.concertina.net/tunes_convert.html. Just paste it into the conversion window (but remember to remove the spaces that will appear at the beginning of most of the lines). Alternatively, go to JC's ABC tune finder and run a search for the title. You will get plenty of results, which can be returned in various formats including staff notation. It's always the first stop of choice when looking for dance tunes. The tune was named Julia Delaney by Police Chief O'Neill, after his sister-in-law; it appears that before that it was known as Glenloe. |

I searched for a MIDI of the tune (used the MIDI search engine) and found it to be delightful. I've now edited it some with Noteworhty and will introduce it to the gang later this month. They'll love it. |
