Does this mean that they are ALL going to "take a licking"? (bad. bad Bob)

Does anyone know if they've ever done one for Ian Tyson or if he's on the schedule to be honored with one?

Where's the best of them all? Stan Rogers!
Oh, of course, he never had a hit record in the charts.
Tut.

I don't know that Anne Murray is a "songwriter."

I think I would have kept quiet about Paul Anka.

I am not sure they're even Canadian but I first heard them at Mariposa Folk Festival. A duo from the seventies that did a fantastic song called
Those Dance Hall Girls.

I'm sure they're not on a stamp but does anyone else remember

Frasier and Debolt???

Fraser & DeBolt were Canadian.

Alan Fraser, who wrote "Dance Hall Girls" lives in Montreal and is still around. He has a Myspace page.

Daisy DeBolt is in Ontario somewhere, performs a lot and has released several CDs in recent years.

I'm amazed that Stan Rogers is not among these elite Canadians, and I would have added Lenny Gallant to the list.

Alan Fraser and Daisy deBolt. I read somewhere that Alan passed away. Daisy is still making music. Here's a link to Daisy.

This is Welcome News. Maybe Canadian Artist Stamps could have been another choice. But by whatever name, anytime Canada promotes it's own; it's a cause for celebration. These things will be seen by the world community. It's a good thing. p.s. Just communicated with Allan Fraser not long ago. He's doin' it. bob
