Ghost of Mary Hay (Hey?)

I have recently un-earthed an old reel to reel recording of this song (+ many others); I don't know who it is by, the story behind the song or the writer / history. What I do know is that it was probably a recording obtained from John Leonard in his Radio Sheffield days.(So the memory is somewhat hazy). It has the feel of part of a greater work.
Does anyone know anymore? All searches I have made have produced nothing & I have not suceeded in contacting John direct.
It is a 'production' job & has multi instruments on the recording (including pipes) If the work is available; can it be obtained?
Thanks
m

I know of a ballad called "Bonny Mary Hay", possibly credited to Archibald Crawford, maybe 1829ish? but never the one you refer to. I would love to hear that.
