Now we can go into pubs and breathe; I've had a chat with Liz at the Beckett Arms, Corringham (Lincolnshire: DN21 5QP)and we have decided to resurrect the Sunday night singaround/acoustic music sessions.

First scheduled meet will be 15 July

Lets give a go !

Celebrating Lisa's 16th today, so won't be along. Do have a great time and could this be the start of the new location for Gainsborough Folk Club :-) or is it Corringham Folk Club?

Next singaround in the Beckett Arms will be on Sunday 12th August. Unfortunately this turns out to be the same date as the re-arranged do at Brandy Wharf, but doesn't actually clash as its in the evening. Hope as many people come as last time!

"Thought you meant Corringham Essex for a minute".

No Bert, the belief, widely held by southern puffs, that the world ends a few hundred yards north of Watford, is completely fallacious. There is life oop 'ere in t'frozzen north. And whippets. :-) :-)

"Faldingworth hasn't got one :-) Its by event"

Exactly my point Les - a well-moderated Permathread is a much more efficient way of publicising a club and its events than a proliferation of lengthy, rambling individual threads full of individual conversations for which e-mail is far more appropriate. With a Permathread, people know exactly where to look, and I'm sure Joe and the Clones would appreciate the saving in Server-Space!

You know it makes sense!   :-) :-)

All IMHO, of course! LOL!
