Tech: Watching TV on the PC

There are a number of "services" out there, such as "3000tvchannels.com", that purport to provide international television programming for a one-time fee of about $50 US. Anyone have any experience with these? Are they safe? Is there a catch?

Dunno - TV card is OK ish but I do see a lot of liney edges on fast movement.   I would bet the web-based stuff is MPeg4 and maybe even limited resolution to about 320X480 - it would use a lot of bandwidth. Dunno what the finacial side looks like - I refuse to load flash on dial-up.
