I do understand why someone who'd grown up with this song as part of their local heritage might sing it, I have no problem with that, but it isn't part of my heritage, and I have no desire to bring it in. Personally, I find the lyrics revolting, but I wouldn't stop someone else singing it. |

Maybe so but by joining in the chorus I was condoning the attitude depicted. |
