My cookies are enabled. I am not having any trouble loading any other site. Myspace.com and any variation of, i.e. with individual pages tacked on, is taking at least 2-3 minutes to load for me, since last night. Anyone else having trouble with it? I am on broadband and it never takes but a few seconds!

Just called up my much neglected MySpace page and it loaded like greased lightning.
It's almost reassuring to look at those serried ranks of cyber friends and imagine they are real.

Don't talk to me about myspace friends. Even that Tom guy at myspace said he no longer wanted to be friends with me

A FAQ at MySpace comments vaguely that "visitors" can post html to your page. The "vaguely" part of it is that there's no explanation of who/what/how/when/why this might happen, but the non-answer was in reply to a query about "why is my page messed up."

The constructive/destructive/ambiguous suggestion was "you have to edit your html." Not much help if you can't load your page, but that's all there was to that item.

If someone could/has/might/did clip a couple of (or dozen) audio/video/nausiatinglycutegreetingimage links into your page preceding anything that actually appears, MySpace seems to try to load and play everything in fairly strict script order. (With my sloooooow connection, I get lots of time to sort of observe how it doesn't work. I find lots of profiles that I abandon after 5 minutes if nothing shows by then, especially if I see lots of "links to" the common music/video/cute-art stores flashing by on the bottom bar.)

With the recent density of 11-15 year old kids pretending to be 68 year old prostitutes and playing games with each other - as seen in the "General Profile" sections, the possibility of "innocently intentioned" vandalism probably is not remote. You may just have been gifted with a visit by a bunch of screaming wet-nosed undisciplined urchins using your space for a playground, or by someone who was well-intention but slightly "html challenged."

Or not. (????)
