Any UK festivals affected by floods?

The Festival season is getting into full swing - but so are the floods, and with little sign of the weather improving greatly are any festivals going to have problems this year?

Some festival campsites are rather close to rivers or are in locations that get a bit damp from time-to-time.

Any thoughts?

John

There were rumours that Cleckheaton and Saddleworth were both cancled!
This was obviously untrue, but I did wonder how many others were affected by such scaremongering.

The Sheffield Folk Festival will be affected to an extent, as the major venue, Kelham Island Industrial Museum, was badly flooded. It won't be re-opening fully until next year, but the festival and the christmas market will be going ahead; though visitors won't be able to see the usual exhibits. The music pubs that are also involved should all be open again well before October; no details yet about the indoor camping venue round the corner.

Festival at the Edge(Wenlock) was pretty hammered last weekend. I was working on the Friday night opening ceremony, which was cancelled at the last minute, as were all the Sunday events. Glastonbury was muddy but unbowed, back in June. Nantwich Acoustic festival is cancelled(I think that was going to be this weekend).

We're keeping our fingers crossed for Lechlade Cats, John checked the campsite yesterday morning & it was a puddle. However, looking at the forcast we can hope it dries out - I'll be quite gutted if it's cancelled, such a nice laid-back S&A!!

Wallington Bunkfest has just cancelled.
Saul was called off a month ago.
WOMAD just happened but probably shouldn't have.
