02 Aug 07 - 10:40 AM (#2117440) Subject: BS: Malcolm McLaren slags of the Scots From: Folk Form # 1 In Time Out this week (Time Out is a London listings magazine), McLaren, who use to be the manager of the Sex Pistols, said this: "I've just come back from the most horrible place on Earth called Scotland. I visited Culloden having read all about it in history books, but got stuck in a fishing village with a bunch of bigoted, inbred, intolerant, dull and mentally deficient Scottish people. It remains the most dour and miserable part of my imagination." I wonder why McLaren, who doesn't usually slag people off because of the nationality, should express such strong views? Any suggestions? |

It seems the real problem is contained within his own mind. It has nothing to do with the really-o, truely-o local Scots! And yes, Wesley S, that too. |

03 Aug 07 - 10:32 AM (#2118277) Subject: RE: BS: Malcolm McLarn slags of the Scots From: Peace Years back some Hollywood actor was making a film in Alberta. He was near a small town in the south part of the province and he referred to the place as being "the type of town where people use ketchup as tomato sauce" then he proceeded to berate the locals. I found his Hollywood address and sent him a hand-written letter that contained very few words. It read, "Regarding your remark about *******, Alberta: You're a prissy little fu#k, aren't you!" I signed my name and gave my return address. Bastard didn't even send me an autographed picture. There's just no reasoning with some people. |
