05 Aug 07 - 07:01 AM (#2119570) Subject: Folk & Cider - Brandy Wharf (UK) 12 Aug From: GUEST,Wacko Jacko Folk And Cider At Brandy Wharf Brandy Wharf near Caistor is hosting a folk and cider afternoon this Sunday 12th August. I'll be there doing a couple of sets with harmonica man "Easy Bob Reid" and percussionist "Subtle Trevor" overseeing the music, PA side of things and who's on when. All very relaxed with just a touch of organisation, so performers have a least a couple of minutes notice before they're on! All folky type musicians are welcome to turn up and play at the event which runs from 1pm-5pm. If you fancy a 15-20 minute slot let me know by adding a comment and I'll put your name down. I know some of the Gainsborough Folk Club crowd were planning to come to the earlier event that was cancelled because of the wet weather. Good to see some of my musical friends there. Also listeners especially welcome to come along, enjoy the live music and drink some cider in the sunshine!(hopefully) If it rains there is a "Plan B" by the way!Once I've got an idea who'se likely to be playing I'll update this message. Cheers Strummin' Steve Jackson |

I'm playing the lunchtime session at the Lincoln Drill hall tomorrow,so I'll give it a plug there. Cheers Strummin' Steve |

Should be a good mix of folky rootsy stuff. "Svarc and Stark" would make a good name for a duo although I suspect they've probably never met each other! |
