Please indulge me, fellow Mudcateers, in allowing me to be the first to say:

Happy Birthday, Bet (Betty)!

Here's to the best sister in the whole wide world!

I am really glad you came "up" for the weekend and had a great time!

Love Ya!

katlaughing, your "little" sister, in case ya' forgot!

I guess Kat feels better now that she has her REVENGE.... I can just picture the big red circle on the calendar and I am surprised that the time on the post is 2:53AM. I would have looked for it right at 12:00:15AM at the latest were I a betting man!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BET

Happy Birthday Bet......Now a Gentleman NEVER asks a Lady her age does he? So how old are you?

Bet, I want to give you a special birthday gift...I'm gonna' tell!!!! See, before you came on Mudcat, your loving sister had many things to say about you and when she knew you were joining, she extricated a promise from us that we would not say anything about her stories. For your birthday, you need the chance to research what she said and give your side, so feel free to check her posts on the forum. I think you definitely deserve to speak out on two of her recollections.

First there is the one about you and 6 guys stealing a Studebaker and driving to Aspen for a weekend where you met Hunter Thompson who was there looking for a place to buy. Evidently he got all of you a room where you partied for several days or something like that. Fill us in.

Then there was the other about mooning tourists on the highway and being chased by a bear who walked into your hiding place by the road. I don't think I've ever laughed so hard as when she described you running down the highway like a penguin 'cause you couldn't get your pants up!!!

Anyway.....HAPPY BIRTHDAY BET **** ENJOY EVERY MOMENT

Catspaw! You lie like a RUG!!!! Boy are you gonna get me into to trouble with a capital "T"!!!

How in the world, dear one, did you know that she really did drive a Studebaker to college, not in Aspen, but close to another ski resort, Crested Butte?!

Betty, don't you believe him!!

BTW- she's single and still young enough to have a great time camping, singing, traveling, and settin' a good example for her three little sisters!**Smile, bet**

love ya,

kat

Hey, all of you thanks! It was fun to come home and read the notes but nowwwwwwww I need to get back to Casper and have a talk with my sister. Those were great stories, wish I had been there. I remember a few bear stories when I was out camping but not quite like she tells it. As to my age, it means nothin!! I never can remember how old I am so always have to figure it out. Fortunely the number that keeps popping up when asked my age is 41, It's an easy number to work with but it scares me when I do figure out how old I'm suppose to be. I think I use to hear the phrase, act your age. There now I've done it. Oh well I bet I can keep up with most of you or at least have a good time trying. bet
