The Upton FeelGood Festival

To see the extent of the floods look here
and here .

the Folk Festival committee and the Upton Tourism and Trade Association, who are very keen to support it, we have decided on the weekend of September 22nd & 23rd.
This is not a repeat of our May weekend festival and although the planning at the moment is still sketchy we intend to organise:
•        Folk Clubs (with any named artists who turn up)
•        Informal concerts
•        Morris Dancing in the streets
•        A Procession
•        Ceilidh(s) to the Amazing Expanding Band with callers Anne Other, Toby Confirmed, Hans Four, Gipsy Turn and many others.
•        Stalls
The event will be free – no charges made, no performers paid.
We will not be able to offer camping but the Tourist Information Office will be able to point you to local sites and also bed and breakfast etc.
We hope that the other Upton Festivals (Jazz, Blues, Water Festival etc.) will also be bringing in acts and supporters over the weekend.
Please come and enjoy yourselves and drink our publicans' beer.
We would like to gauge the support we will get so can you please respond to this email if you want to come. If you are part of a folk club, choir, dance side, caller, ceilidh musician, named performing group etc. please let me know if you want to perform.
At this is short notice Morris dancers may have difficulty in arranging a side so we hope to run a number of scratch sides or put people in touch with other sides who are a bit short. Please indicate if you would like to join one and the style you dance in.
As ever we need people to help over the weekend, especially Squire(s) for the scratch Morris.
Initially please reply to Administrator (place usual delimiter here ) UptonFeelGoodFestival.ORG.UK and include FeelGood Festival in the title line. For further information see UptonFeelGoodFestival.ORG.UK from 6th August.
