While looking up info on another topic, I found the Following: New Zealand Folk Song site. Looks pretty neat. Here's some more info:
Old work ballads, Maori waiata and recent songs about the Kiwi way of life. Lyrics, chords, tunes and background information about song content, songwriters and recordings. |

17 Aug 07 - 07:46 PM (#2128280) Subject: RE: New Zealand Folk Songs site From: Q (Frank Staplin) Yes, this website has been mentioned before, but I can't find it through search either. I remembered that I commented on the song Pokarekare Ana, and I was able to find a link by putting Pokarekare in Search. In the thread that came up, I found where I had linked to the folk song site (thread 81712), but I am sure that that site has been discussed before. Maori song But your mention and link are not redundant since any prior link is lost in the Mudcat swamp. Sites like this one should be listed in FAQ, if that link ever gets re-organized. |

My neices are back in Godzone so I will no doubt be visiting in the future. |
