From: AndyWhitehouse Hi Interntaional festival favourites Hotel Palindrone make a quick stop off in Matlock ahead of playing at Towersey. They are absolutely blinding musicians playing hurdy gurdy, pipes, nykelharpa and so on and specialise in Alpine tunes but there is a wealth of European dance tunes in there. Lots of people think they sound like Blowzabella. I think they sound like themselves. There's something about the underlying progressions that singles them out. Great music to listen to and great music to dance to. They are at The Fishpond in Matlock tonight (August 25th). Doors 7.30 |
